Graphic Cards Recommended graphics card to get 100fps in cs

I play Counter Strike 1.6 too much. but fps is very low about 30-45fps when server has statsme ,AMX + some useless plugins
This is my poor PC's Config:(
Pentium 4 3.0Ghz with HT Technology 800MHz FSB
Dynet 1GB 667MHz
160GB SATA WD + 40GB IDE Samsung

I play at 640x480 resolution.
i want a constant 100fps at every moment
So what (cheapest) graphics card you people recommend to get 100fps
 
Firstly you don't need 100 FPS. Although it won't hurt as in intense scenes your FPS will remain higher.

I would suggest a E5200.

For a graphic card get Radeon 4670 or up or Geforce 9600GSO or above.
 
u dont need that good gfx card for cs.

ur existing cpu is more than enaf.

even geforce7 series gpu will keep u at 100fps in cs at 1024x resolution.

what mobo u have?
disable vertical sync ; launch your game with -dev parameter ; set fpsmax to 100 or more if u wish ==> the fps will shoot thru the roof with your current config.

dude counterstrike is a very competitive game, not like some single player game where low fps doesnt make a difference since u are playing against bots . even though its a pretty old game, playing on 80fps or below on cs feels very uncomfortable .

I am guessing he is currently on onboard intel graphics and hence the low fps.

If you are having an agp slot board.... get a 7600gs , 6600gt or 7600gt . All of them will give u consistent 100fps even in middle of 4-5 smoke grenades

Also..disable vertical sync, anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering , im sure u are on onboard intel graphics right now .

I have Jetway 945GC motherboard, & it have PCI-e x16 slot
How to disable vertical sync, anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering ?
I have onboard video card,thats why low fps
 
even my 5 year old system(amd 1.9ghz, geforce 5700le) cud do 100fps in cs.. buy any 2nd hand gfx card like geforce 5600, 5700, 6600 etc...btw when i used to enable vertical sync the fps was always 60(montor refress rate) and i could feel the difference between 60 fps and 100 fps, headshots accuracy went down more then 50%, even 1 kill matters in cs when playing clan match.. :)
 
Buy 8400GS , for around 1.6k , in addition to the 100 fps it also gives you the advantage of dx10 and playing HD content smoothly
 
My TNT2 M64 used to give 100fps in CS.
System requirements for CS nearly doubled for some reason after Steam came into the picture.
 
oye dude u dont need new gfx card...all u need is proper info... and that is as follows

1. disable vsync from intel extrem gfx menu ...i also dont remember properly the settings but had done this when i had organized CS tournament in my college and that too on onboard gfx card.

2.go to cs and open console and type fps_max 100..

that's it viola you have 100 fps

Are you comparing the HL1 based CS with the Source engine based CS :huh:
 
go for 8600gt...its a midrange card and only costs about 4k...its a nice card for css..i kno lol coz i play shitloads of counterstrike source
