Recurring High pings in BSNL broadband

I get good pings (80ms) in Singapore TF2 servers and 50ms on Indian CSS servers for a long time now.

But past two months i am getting this lag for a few seconds(on all servers), at that time pings increases gradually from 80ms to 900ms, and after sometime it gets back to normal.

This lag last for some 20~45seconds not more not less, during that time my game freezes and i get fragged, its so annoying.

Lag comes at every 10mins or so, and its happening consistently for past two months, i thought it will go away, but it didn't.One of my friend told me that he also have the same problem

Is this a common problem for bsnl connection? Whats the reason?

the reason is its BSNL - do you have a guaranteed connection with Ping rates defined?

I guess NOT - so that is (high variable QOS , unstable connectivity/ high ping rates/timeouts) what we get.... period

^Never had any problem with bsnl, i have been playing online games since 2006 on bsnl, used to get very good pings, whereas my friends using reliance and airtel bb gets higher pings than me

suddenly this new problem has emerged......just want to know if its a isolated problem in my place, any of u guys facing the same problem?

i am on bsnl too, and no i also sometimes face your problem, but my ping max goes to 300-350ms brother, not 900 like you...
