Reducing Eye Strain due to Monitor

Try to keep monitor below eye level. If you have to look up to it(like in some colleges, where lower bezel of screen is at eye level.) then eyes get dried quickly.

is the vision yellow? or normal, as the glass seems to be yellow similar to my night driving glasses.

vision is little bit yellow type, its like contrast of the screen being increased, and yea it makes the character look more clearer on digital screen, i tried with my flat panel tv also, and it also look more clear @-)

isnt Rs. 600 less than $20????(according to the current conversion rate!!!) $20 = Rs. 981.11???

bro i am trying to say, the package has been marked as $20 value (Even though the original price is $110) then also they calculated custom as Rs 600

I would say, most of the eye-strain related issues (computer), is not because of the monitor, but he highly lit room/cube where the person is sitting.

Most of the companies, houses are using CFLs which is really harmful for the human eyes , which emits even UV rays which is not good for skin.

You need to measure the Luminescense of your place and position and reduce the lighting so that it will not affect your eyes. Check with a eye specialist who can tell you how much is the permissible light for human eye.

And coming to the point where eye focussing issue, only one way, you need to look far and near quickly for few times every half an hour or so.

Note: In my office I am forced to wear anti-glare glasses, but not at home. Becasue office has got very bright cfl lamps over head. Nobody hear when you say " hey, we got hell lot of light here". People blame computer again.. :-)

^^^^ True.. lots of bright lights also create problems. and you need to keep exercising your eye muscles every half an hour or so by looking and focusing on objects at different distances..

I guess these can be expensive. I am not sure, but heard that LED lamps are better. Otherwise good old incandescent bulbs :-).

I use a BPL Led reading lamp. Felt good.
