We had a LG 260L refrigerator - bought in Sept'11 which died recently. The service engineer said its a case of "gas leak" and later I got call from LG that my refrigerator will be replaced.
But last week they called again saying since same or similar model is not available, LG will refund the money (around 16.5K). So, I'm looking for a new one. But seems prices have gone up in last 1.5 years.

My requirements:
Capacity : 240/260L
Type: 2 door
Brand: Not specific. Should have good a.s.s. though.
Budget: 20K (max)

Any recommendation guys?
Hows Whirlpool products & their a.s.s.?

TIA.

Personally, I have not been happy with Whirlpool refrigerators and I would suggest you look at some standard options even though the cost might be a bit more. Star rated refrigerators without inverters are actually not at all what its claimed to be. We have a 4 star rated whirlpool and our main aim of replacing our old refrigerator the BPL Sanyo was that it was consuming more power. But even though its a 4star we have not seen any major difference in electric consumption. Sharp has a new range so will be checking that out. Other than that I can only think of Hitachi and Panasonic in refrigerators.

WHY DONT YOU LOOK UP FOR WHIRLPOOL OR VOLTAS, AS THEY ARE AVAILABLE IN SUCH TYPE OF PRICE RANGES

Please do not post in all caps on the forums.

And Voltas refrigerator? This is the year 2013 just in case! Voltas is no longer manufacturing refrigerators.
