Refrigerator Suggestion

I am looking to buy a new refrigerator as the old one at our place conked off. I have never purchased one, so have no idea what to look for in it. My budget is 10 K. From reviews, it seems that Samsung, LG and Electrolux have some decent brands. Also, things to look out for are compartment space, number of doors, cooling rate, energy consumption and warranty on compressor. I would also like to know if I can get a double door fridge if I stretch my budget by 1-2 K

Also, what should I do with my old fridge ? Are there any exchange schemes ? Its useless to me so any amount of cash will be a bonus !

Any pointers will be appreciated

Visit reliance digital. They stock a good number. Basic info like price, space, power consumption are easily visible

yep, the best option would be to go to an electronics store, check the refrigerators yourself

apart from the brands you have mentioned, whirlpool too deserves a place, it is quite nice, works well, and has a few models which are quite nicely priced
 
while looking for a fridge i found that whirlpool and lg have max compartment space. i got a lg 260 ltr one about 3 yrs back. and at that time it was 14k with old fridge exchange.
