i think Videocon handles service for videocon, electrolux, whirlpool, kelvinator, & akai brands. so quality would go for a toss for these brands since the company wouldn't care when so many brands under it now.

Add toshiba too!

Mumbai Thane guys -> Godrej has a shop near Gaodevi Mandir in Thane (Behind Ram Maruti Rd.) as well as a seconds shop at their Vikhroli Plant - from EE Highway Entrance, where you can get furniture seconds too. Cost reduction can be 10-60% depending on the reasons. They are very polite and clear about why the unit is in seconds. Also be aware that many people check up for this regularly, so if u spot something u like, better grab it right away.

Ok your search ends here! My neighbor bought a Samsung 42" LCD for 62k which had 1.1lakh on the price tag, There was a little scratch behind the screen, Everything else was fine, + you get normal 1 year warranty. You get upto 40% off,

The truth behind this- When an items gets a lil damaged in transit or storage, Samsung discards the product completely, These godown managers sell them to dealers who repair the damage and sell it for full price, Where as a few dealers buy it for 60% of the original price and sell them for 70-80%of the original price.(Source- My cousin who works for Samsung)

Hi all i had been to the factory seconds shop today evening.Never knew that there was one very close to my place.I

This shop is adjacent to Big Bazaar the one near Hebbal on ring road.I have traveled in the same route for 5 Years,never noticed it:ashamed:.Its not a big shop( difficult to notice it).The sales guy was patient enough to answer all my questions.He has refrigerators ,Washing Machines,Microwave Ovens of the brands,Whirlpool and LG only.He will give tax paid genuine bill and warranty card from the company.All products thru him are showroom rejected material.Some of the refrigerators had minute scratches while some had dents here and there.There was even a LG 32" Scarlet,it had loads of scratches on the front bottom panel other than that there was no cracks or dead pixels.

@Praks ,in the 2nd's factory outlets u do not get specific brands.One needs to just take what ever is there coz they come in lots not specific to manufacturer.I will try to get some info for you by weekend.

Me too searching for a factory seconds elcetronics shop in Bangalore. Is there any 3rd shop apart from the 2 already mentioned. Also, people using products from any such place, are you satisfied with your purchase?

I would say its kind of fixed price.The shop guy did said that he might reduce the price of the goods only by 5 or 10% max.Moreover the shop i mentioned did not have any 21"TV.You can give a try coz new stock comes every week or 10 days.Was lil busy from the past 2 weeks so couldn make it to the shop in Dr.Rajakumar road.I will try to get info but cant make it personally to the shop as i am going to Hyd this weekend for a short visit,but will try to visit the shop once i am back.

Yes he will give discount but u have have to pester him big time .I will update this thread when i visit the new shop.There is another place i am visiting for some electronics at dead cheap price

How is Haier as a brand? Never saw them much in shops but too many of them on offer on the net.

i bought a Haier fridge 2yrs back...the model with its freezer at the bottom,performance has been very good,no problems so far(*touch wood) but i dont like the space management in the freezer!
