Hey guys, (Mumbaikars)

Need your urgent help with something.

1) I am looking for a rental flat (1BHK/2BHK) are in / around Vikhroli. ( Ghatkopar, Kanjurmarg, Vikhroli, Bhandup etc ). Will appreciate any leads / brokers contact nos. I will be living with my family.

2) Are there any websites (heard of sulekha.com) to find the flats preferably by owners themselves.

3) What rent should I expect for the basic furnished / non furnished flat ?

I'll appreciate all the inputs.

Cheers,

30/40k wtf ? :O

Yes, its 30K, for a 2BHK and for a 3BHK, 40K. Location : outskirts of Garodia nagar, near pant nagar. However, these rates are almost 3~6 months old. Knew of the rates because one of my relatives was going to be posted here and they wanted to see whether it made sense to come here or refuse the transfer. They wanted a big spacious house.

And the rates are not just for lift only. Also for parking place for car, ease of shopping nearby, malls nearby, etc....

Rents in Vikhroli are also too high for 1bhk and above.. around 15K and above.. We have a so called "Gaala" in market which we have given on rent and per month that person pays rs.7000/- for just 200sqm..You can check in Kanamwar nagar in vikhroli east. Some flats in Tagore nagar and Kanamwar nagar can be rented around 10-15K. And dont even think about renting a flat in Vikhroli west...

Yea even I have heard same about Kanamwar Nagar.. Need to check out the same.. but I don't have time... Hence was looking to see if there are alternatives online.. I am fine with a 1BHK for sub 10k.

You can consider flats in old constructions near Powai market opposite IIT main gate. I lived there for 6 months and it was semi furnished. I paid(shared the rent) 12k for it each month. The deposit was 40~50K. The area is a bit congested but you are 5 mins away from Hiranandani Powai and everything that you possibly need is available right outside in the Powai market.

I will let you know till saturday if any flat is available for rent within 10K

@Chirag, Vivek :- I'd appreciate that..!

@Sunny :- Got any contact of landlords / brokers of that area ?.. I might check it out today evening.!

Along borivali ,one can easily get a 2bhk unfurnished flat measuring upto 1k sq.ft for about 20k.
If vikhroli is not essential you could look up at the western suburbs too.

I am working in Godrej... Hence inclined to stay nearby..!

Western Suburbs is much costlier as opposed to Vikroli - Bhandup range.!

dipen01,

You are working with good company consider to buy home instead of rental? On your company profile you may eligible for Sweet Loan Deal either directly from bank or from bank associated with specific builder firm.

You may get 10-13 lakh loan for 14 to 16k monthly EMI

Hi Dipen, Didnt get any 1BHK flats on rent. Got two 1RK flats in Tagore Nagar, 13K and 15K per month respectively with 40K and 47K deposit. I will let you know today if I get 1BHK flats in kanamwar nagar.

If you work in Godrej, then I am quite sure that Godrej gives flats to their employees in Godrej colony (The one in east nearby station and other across eastern express highway...

What can you buy for this amount?

Nothing.

I just mean he is working with good company, he may have saving etc. including his family members saving. So instead of keep paying for rental if he apply for loan & adding loan amount with savings he can buy his OWN Home & not need to face hassle after every 11 or 22 months. :)
