Reliance has blocked access to several websites that are used to share files. Apparently its linked to release of a movie being distributed by Reliance entertainment. They do have a court order this time as well, and as per reports on another forum, Aircel (3G) is the only other operator complying with the blocking requests. As per reliance CC these websites have been blocked by order of DoT.

Reliance subscribers on this forum may please confirm.

Don2 this time i guess.
i Suggest there are workarounds to bypass this filter.
Do some research for this you wont have this problem then :)

WTF? I can't seem to access megaupload from MTNL. Says Copyright This site has been blocked. © Reliance Entertainment. All rights reserved.

Seriously, f*** Reliance. They will not get a penny from me ever.

they're using a filtering proxy in between, so changing dns will not help. i tried and it did not work. one other way was to open the page via google search, but even that path seems to be blocked now. someone is updating their servers with rules all the time. i'm sure they're watching who manages to download from the file sharing sites and then make a rule to block that path.

I am really starting to hate this company more and more. Such a lobbyist in nature place, government eating out their hands.

btw, do a "view source" on the page displayed when you access a blocked site

It sends your IP to the host for some reason

Megavideo is working for me.

Use ultrasurf to get a US IP and those sites should be accessible.

Megaupload, Depositfiles, Mediafire, Filesonic and Rapidshare working for me. This is a pleasant change from last time when all the sites were blocked (more or less).

Got the reliance site is blocked message on btjunkie. The weird part is I am using MTNL.

Can be bypassed using a proxy though.

Is Mtnl getting leased lines from Reliance ??
