In India most of the companies are ready to implement Fair Usage Policy at some level, other well known ISPs are avoiding the fup by reducing the speed of plan by almost half, and according to TRAI guidelines this is the cheating to consumers.
Just for example, if you have 256 k connection and you reached to fair usage level, what ISP is halves your speed and make your download speed to 128k which is not even broadband, as per TRAI connections beyond 256 Kbps are considered as broadband.
At least reliance is not doing that and mentioning that it will just charge you, clearly not reducing your speed without your knowledge. So according to me FUP is good.
