Remote for Amazon fire stick

I always have issues with these Remotes on Fire stick, its surprising that one big company like Amazon couldn't get Simple remote product done right.
Its my 3rd one right now that goes bad in less than 1 year or so. The ones that we get on Amazon are all duplicate ones from local sellers and they dont work properly .
One has no Voice command option and other ones are fake that has button saying Primo Video literally, am fed up and want to give up on watching TV any more.

Someone suggest a better one if possible that lasts longer than usual. Mine is 3rd Gen Fire Stick and I found the one below which has better reviews but not sure its worth another 800 Rs again...
Replacement Voice Remote Control for FlRE TV Stick and for AMZ FlRE TV Stick

Check on facebook marketplace etc if someone is selling cheap firestick or only remote and buy that.

I have a shop near my home that sells remotes but I have only got ones for the FIRE TV like amazonbasics/onida and it works well but it works on IR but firestick won't work on IR so not possible.
But he claims to have firestick remote too but didn't need one so haven't checked.

Yes I also searched in amazon, flipkart, snapdeal but could not find any original remotes as all 3rd party remotes are sold in India. BTW original remote comes with firetv branding on its remote below the buttons. My mother lost our FireTV remote which I bought it in 2019. Since then I also tried 2 times but they didnt work for 6 months at least.

Best is to get the Amazon FireTV Remote if it is sold here in TE or use your Mobile Device like a FireTV Remote. The Fire TV app allows you to use your mobile device as a remote control, providing a convenient alternative to the physical remote.
To control your Fire TV with your mobile device:
  1. Download the Fire TV app on your mobile device. This app is available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
    1. Apple App Store
    2. Google Play Store
  2. Connect your mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Fire TV Device.
  3. Open the Fire TV app on your mobile device.
  4. Select an available device on the screen.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompt.
  6. Use the on-screen navigation, keyboard, and other menu options to control the selected Fire TV device.
Note: To control your Fire TV Blaster or Fire TV Recast, download the Fire TV Recast & Blaster app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Taken from Amazon website help only.

Somebody was selling FireTV remote a while back here. Post a WTB.
You can also try checking alibaba and aliexpress for the remote but last I checked they say we need to order 2 remotes each costing $5 plus shipping. So check once there.

Yes best to check local TV Remote shops but their quality might not good and they sell on amazon prices.

You might have done this already, but just for sanity check
  1. Do you have a high powered 2.4 GHz WiFi in the vicinity of these remotes all the time? Could cause Bluetooth disconnections and pairing to disappear
  2. Have you tried using using good quality Duracell batteries?

I agree its overpriced but this is a legit option for those who don't want used or lower than oem quality 3rd party (500rs to 1k). Just can't say how long it will last. I think the remote is perfect for the amazon fire TVs.

Let's say you have a 4k stick or 4k max with no need to upgrade. The lite version remote is just that, lite. New package would minimum cost 4.5k. I understand what you are getting at but what will you do with the extra stick (new or old).

Note - I use 2 fire stick 4k (2019 purchase) on non smart panasonic 1080p TVs. I need power + volume keys on the remote. So far I have not needed to replace but will never buy a remote without them.

1) I use Bluetooth Receiver/Transmitter for audio because my Old Samsung TV dont have BT so need to use the transmitter for watching movies late night so I dont disturb others
This one but Older model not 2.5Ghz wireless tech and completely Bluetooth..
2)Yes I changed multiple batteries, some buttons work and some dont so its not Battery cells issue
