Storage Solutions Replacing Dvd Drive .

Guys need a new disc drive for my Pc . haven't used the drive since a year ,it has dies now but i need to install OS again . BIOS does not support USB boot .

There is no marginal price difference may be 100~200Rs.

The tray of a hp is little deep so the dvd should be proper placed rather than LG/Samsung

hope they delivered quickly . Prepaid orders were always processed earlier . This was a prepaid order.

I think your PC belongs to the erstwhile century

. Replace it and better get a good mobo, proccy and memmy buddy. Motherboards with SATA ports are available since the intel 865 chipset family. You wont be benefitted by using the adapter/converter as the speeds are going to be the same as that of IDE interface... And i cannot comment about the life of these kinda adapters/converters. So the choice is yours now...

His mobo has SATA ports, only his SMPS does not have them.
