Required : Large Screen + Android. Budget : 18-19k

So as the title suggests, the two major things I am looking at are :
Large screen (4" or more) Android (gingerbread)

BUDGET : 18-19k

Options that I have in mind:
1. Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
2. Samsung Galaxy SL I9003

Both the phones fulfil the criteria but I want to know what other options do I have in this budget?

Hi am in the same dilemma...15-20k max...android 2.3

My choices will be nexus s, HTC salsa, & samsung galaxy I9000.

One big ques...is samsung I9000 upgradable to ginger bread from v2.1.

^Errr.... The current stock of i9000 are already shipping with Gingerbread 2.3.3 out of box. If you get a old stock with Froyo then also you can upgrade to the official gingerbread immediately.

The Samsung Galaxy S i9000 has the best GPU among the single core phones. Go for it with eyes closed.

Why not Nexus S? It does have same hardware as Galaxy S so you are covered for games and other gpu intensive tasks plus excellent processor for daily activities. Also the major advantage is that Nexus S will be the first phone in the market to get the ICS update OTA. Nexus Prime will be the first to be shipped with ICS while Nexus S is the first to recieve the update plus priority updates directly from google. You might miss Super Amoled screen but SuperLCD is also good. You will miss 720p recording and also FM Radio. But you gain NFC Chip which is valuable in the future, Trust me. Also you are getting Gyrosensor which is not easily available in others. So I would definitely get the NExus S.

If u wanna buy it in India go for 1) Nexus S ( Latest updates from Google. Will be the fiest to get ICS update)
2) Samsung Galaxy S
If u r willing to buy from the US via ebay.com then get the Atrix or the Photon.

nexus s is no more available on letsbuy, flipkart, infibeam

saw a listing on ebay for 20k...

samsung has discontinued nexus s in india...

get it while stock lasts...
