Capcom's "Resident Evil 4," "Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie" from Ubisoft and Oscar-winning actor Charlize Theron were among the winners at the 3rd Spike TV Video Game Awards held in Los Angeles on Friday.

A partial list of winners from the awards follows:

Game of the Year: "Resident Evil 4" (Capcom)

Best Game Based on a Movie: "Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie" (Ubisoft)

Best Action Game: "God of War" (Sony Computer Entertainment America)

Best Individual Sports Game: "Tony Hawk's American Wasteland" (Activision Inc.)

Best Team Sports Game: "Madden NFL 06" (Electronic Arts Inc.)

Best Fighting Game: "EA Sports Fight Night Round 2" (Electronic Arts)

Best Military Game: "Call of Duty 2" (Activision)

Best Driving Game: (Viewer's Choice): "Burnout Revenge" (Electronic Arts)

Most Addictive Game: (Viewer's Choice): "World of Warcraft" (Blizzard Entertainment)

Ah maybe i'll continue it from where i left it on the ps2 :D ! This is indeed great news so much that i am tempted to rep you params :P

What are you waiting for! I brought all you PC gamers this good news as soon as i heard about it, now quickly REPS before they cancel this!

Just Joking guys! Just wanna' clear TE with all the console vs PC flame wars have been happening lately. Lets hope this plan goes forward.

Also, i think Capcom may do this because their sales on Ps2 weren't met. They wanted to sell arnd 2 million units by March but as of now they've been stuck at arnd a 65,000...(mainly because Gamecube already had it) but PC consists of entirely different audience so they might just straight port it to PC.

It's not looking good for the PS2 version.

Capcom's goal for RE4 on PS2 is 2,000,000 units worldwide by March 31, 2006.

Hehe i'll rep you the day this becomes official. In case i forget pm me :D.
But i really hope its not a straight port but something with enhanced graphics and some extra content. :)
 
It will most probably be a straight port of the Gamecube version which has better visuals. Not everyone works with a R* size budget to put out a specialized version for PCs.
 
I dont thnk I want it though.....I think it is a horror type of game. Like Doom,setc...... I have started disliking the games with demons and monsters, etc.... too many games like that. Was devastated when Far Cry also had those monsters.

Will stick to action/adventure/racing gmaes :P

U said it.RE4 is a world apart from that crap.I really hope they enhance the graphics and stuff for the PC version...
