Aman, you asked for a new title in the zombie invasion franchise. Well here it is. :p

Developed by Slant Six Games, the same guys behind the SOCOM series, the new title will hit stores during this winter for the PS3 and X360.

Slant Six describes the game as taking a "darker" tone when compared to other games in the series. Operation Raccoon City is a team based shooter, players work in a team as part of the Umbrella Security Services charged with the task of covering up evidence of the outbreak. Slant Six is crafting a four player team based shooter experience that is meant to accessible to non-fans of the series.

Players will earn experience points for each kill they make in the game. These experience points can be spent on new abilities and weapons such a stealth kill ability. Zombies aren't the only Umbrella created horror that player will face. Expect to come face to face with mutated dogs and tyrants.

Gaming website StickSkills managed to get a copy of the OXM May 2011 issue which reveals a whole lot of details on the game.

So gear up for some awesome MP action! :D

Seems like the game's events can be controlled by the player a la Heavy Rain. Besides, the players can play as an officer of the Umbrella Security Service (USS), or a member of a United States Special Operations task-force with different objectives. Wonder how this will shape up the storyline!
 
Interesting. Would be the first time they might have taken this approach I think. Any indication of Wesker or Jill being in it?
 
^srsly......Resistance Gameplay trailer was much more scarier (by no. of on screen enemies - boat gameplay) REORC looks pathetic in scare factor :p

Exactly! The whole foggy environment and those Chrimera infected creatures just jumping on the boat was much more scarrier. Then the ending scene of Leon (possibly) getting stabbed, what's that all about?

Fixed. :p

Capcom now has 2 titles I am very very skeptical of - one is this and the other is DMC. I am not sure of the latter with the promises they have been making.
