Hi Friends,

Need help. I was trying to delete the conetnts of my iphone. I went to the factory settings and selected the first option and it said will delete the entire contents .. It took one hour and now the phone is dead and even not being detected in itunes.

Wondering what to do. Please let me know how will i bring it back.

I have tried that. The phone does not come up in recovery mode either. It just displays the apple logo and doesnt move ahead
 
There are three ways to restore

The default apple method: Plug into PC and wait for it to appear in iTunes to restore - I assume that does not work for you

The reset method: Press Home + power for 10-15 seconds simultaneously, then plug into PC for restore ...

The recovery restore - Switch off phone via a hard reset then keep the home button pressed while plugging into PC (works almost always, just make sure you are doing it right)

Although you say you have tried it, I suspect that either the phone wasn;t off to start with or you didn'thave the home button pressed when you plugged in the USB cable... try again for a couple of tries till you get it right

Last, the DFU restore... Getting the phone into DFU mode can be a bit of a pain if doing it for the first time.. just google for DFU restore (as there are multiple ways of getting into DFU mode) and try/retry till you manage to get it in DFU mode
