WP Restoring Whatsapp chats from Android to WP

Is there a way to restore your chats on whatsapp from Android to WP ?

I was able to get my groups but with no chat history,they should probably implement this feature

WhatsApp should implement a web app and syncing across various platforms ASAP. But for that, they need to allow the creation of profiles, which might get complicated for many. Still, it is the best cross-platform messaging platform around.

They wont do it since on each platform the way the chats are saved are different - AFAIK. However, I am pretty sure that if the way the db is created in Android is known AND there is an export facility for iPhone/WP/etc it should be possible.

@YashBhatt I have an email from WhatsApp support saying that cross platform backup restores are not possible. So I guess for now the answer is no.

I just figured it out now!! You have to go to Settings on your phone, then Privacy, then Contacts then Whatsapp and put it on.

He meant chats, not contacts.
