Guy's this is my first review on TE feel free to give advice.
I have reviewed this while using Touchwiz 2.3.3/2.3.6 official and ICS 4.0.3 cm9 experimental build.

Big screen lover's will instantly feel at home it boast's a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 (217 pixel's per inch), you may think that the ppi is extremely low compared to other smartphone's, but this is where the "PLUS" in the Super AMOLED Plus come's to use, the Super amoled plus replaces the Pentile matrix which is 2 sub pixel's and put's a new pixel matrix known as the "Real Stripe" matrix which is 3 sub pixel's, this obviously means that everything is going to give more sharper details plus to top it all off it is more energy efficient, and as it is an android device it would not be complete without a tough protection of corning gorilla glass.
The screen is an absolute joy to use. The smooth multitouch gestures are nice too, if you like to watch high res movie's on the go you will love this device. If you love to play game's on your device, the SII screen is the perfect size because your finger's will not cover half of the screen, that was the problem with me when i use to play game's on my iPod touch as it had a 3.5inch screen and i use to see my finger's more than the actual game.
The back of the cellphone has a 8mp camera which we will read more about in the camera section and it is has a matte plastic cover which honestly would not provide much protection for your cellphone so you might as well use a case.
The phone run's on a 1650mAh powered battery which is enough to last for a day of average use.The phone charge's on micro usb which is placed at the bottom of the handset.
The smartphone host's two camera's. the primary camera is a 8mp auto focus camera which can record video's at 1080p and has a secondary camera which is a 2mp camera which is nice too.
As we all know the cameras in cellphones are improving day by day which make's me feel that the day of point and shoot camera's are numbered, though dedicated camera's are better but they are not alway's with you the camera quality on the SII is the best i have used on an android based device,but there is a major competition by the iPhone 4s. It also record's 1080p video's at @ 30 fps. There are also many feature's you can set manually some of them are exposure and focus field. Some sample's below.
PerformanceIt has a 1.2GHz dual core Cortex-A9 CPU and Exynos 4210 chipset which makes running these three aspects very easily Gaming, Multitasking and playing full HD videos. It also plays most formats like .mp4, .avi, .mov….
It also has a Mali-400mp GPU and with a gig of ram this phone is a powerhouse even the main competitor to the phone has a 512mb ram even after it was launched a couple of month's after the SII . It has a 16gb internal memory and if you are hungry for more memory you can put a Micro sd card in it.

Overall
The Samsung galaxy SII is no new kid in the market it has been along for some time now and gained it's reputation on the way. It is one of the Top Android smartphone's out there and one of the Greatest smartphone of 2011.This Smartphone will give's you no or very few reasons to complain.
PRO'S,
(+) The Super AMOLED Plus display.
(+) Lighting fast and lot's of Third party roms.
(+) Camera quality.
(+) It is going to get official Ice cream sandwich.
CON'S.
(-) Average battery life.
