Dude just chill down ! I am not sure about the terms of Sony so just asked OP to check it out and hence I asked for feedback from OP too.

Its not directed at you or its not that I doubted your credibility or something like that, so don't get worked up on it.

If I ask OP to check and confirm something how does it cause confusion ?

Do tell me how confirming the terms and conditions before buying a device amounts to confusion ? The time which OP spends on checking on the terms and conditions will help OP take a better decision.

Now you want to tell OP to go buy something without reading the terms & conditions then go ahead no one will stop you.

Terms and conditions should definitely be checked by any any person before purchasing any product.

BUT posting things like "6.5k for extended warranty??", bolded statements like "if thats true" when you your yourself admitted that you dont have any idea about these products and their service prices/contracts is definitely not cool.

Point noted but there seems to be some misunderstanding, the reason why I bolded it was because I was shocked to learn the cost of the extended warranty from DELL.

My friend has a DELL laptop and he had paid around 4k for the extended warranty, so I was a bit taken a back by the 6.5k figure, hence I bolded it.

Moreover I myself told OP that it was a no brainer considering the price difference to go for Sony Vaio.

Can you tell how is it been going with EH25, I mean your experience till now with it whether good or bad, kindly share.

@All

My Dad visited Sony today and the salesman over there told him that EH25 was facing some hardware problems and so it has been stopped selling out, instead EH35 has come at its place which is better. Now what do I do, I dont understand:-(

This is usually their standard dialogue which they say when they have a newer model in the market, which normally is just to goad you into taking what they want to sell. But you should check if actually there is any problem to rule out any possibility of a genuine issue.

Did you ask the salesman what exactly was the problem in EH25 model?

If yes then what did he specify ? We could try to ascertain if it's a genuine one.

If not, then ask him over the phone about the what was wrong according to him ?

As our member #aka911 has the laptop he could also be able to pinpoint if he/she has faced the issue specified or any other issue during his/her use.

No Problems at all as I mentioned in my previous post...

Laptop runs very cool, You will not hear the fan most of the time.

Great battery life too..

The disadvantages as Mentioned in my earlier post are the Alps touchpad and that sometimes the Keyboard keys get stuck. But that maybe specific to my particular notebook and is unlikely to affect you.

I am seriously impressed as this is my first vaio and now planning to get another , maybe an S series...

Also There is a price difference of 2k between the newer and older models, So It is all right If you get any of them..

Just dont forget to get etra RAM and the extended warranty... They are worth their cost,So do include them in whatever final budget you come up with..

And do check out the notebook befor you buy it....

Performance wise (especially gaming) it will be way better than the Vaio as it has a 1 GB Nvidia GT540M. Other than that its just okay I guess. No extended warraty from what I know. Build Quality is also average.

IF you're gonna game then go for it.
