Hi guys,

Few days back, i lost my new DELL XPS M1210...(Karan has reported tht in TE earlier )...so now dont ve enough cash to get another DELL :( . so ve to get satisfied with a desktop probably.If price of desktop crosses 50k...then i think i can wait for 1-2 more months' salary to get the irresistible DELL XPS. :D

In the meantime...i ve decided the following config.Please give ur views and suggestions for any other better options also.

logitech internet keyboard + mouse combo - Rs 675
UPS 650w APC - Rs 2700
160 GB seagate 7200rpm - Rs 3000
**DVD writer LG - Rs1850 )
Processor E6300 core 2 duo - Rs 8800
**Cabinet powersafe 400w - Rs 2350
**LCD samsung 17" - Rs 11,400
**Graphics card 7600 Nvidia GS 256 MB - Rs 6100
**2 *512 GB RAM dienet - Rs 4600
**Motherboard Asus P5LD2VMS - Rs 4700

** marked needs all ur suggestions.so please kindly provide them.

Hey Vimal,

If you look around here... OCing is not at all a bad thing. If you dont trust my word on it, ask other moderators/reputed members.

So, I suggest you heed to ppl suggesting you a slightly better motherboard so that you can overclock a bit. And make that investment in E6300 count.

7600GS is a no go. Invest Rs 2k more and get a 7600GT. Much better value for money. Or even a X850XTPE (much better visual quality here.)

hmmm karan ....i dont say tht OCing is bad or worthless...thing is that....i wont get time for doing that (considering present scenario). if i m going to spend around 50k ...then i can wait for some more time and get some more money and get dell xps or any other laptop.what do u say??

oo cool superczar, u also ve dell xps.yaar...i had also the same config as u ve now.but it got stolen last week.can u tell me...what was the price of urs ? did u get any discounts, when u got it? i had got it for rs 68,701.

If you want to stick with a desktop for now, then I would suggest that you get the MSI P965 Neo for 6k instead of the P5LD.

hmmm ..lord_nemesis.....it is difficult to get MSI board in pune as per apollyon.But i ll try to look for it...thanks.
