@sunny27 : Vega distributes only lower range LS2 helmets (Dragon etc)... and lately they have removed LS2 listings from their website too !

Check helmet safety ratings here, SHARP Helmets - THE HELMET SAFETY SCHEME ... Nuvo scores 4 stars, while sparkx , kbc of similar price range hv poor scores... Daijya is cheap copy of Maruschin helmets being sold at premium in India (I came to know about this 2 yrs after using Daijya :P )

Invest in good boots too if you ride a lot...

No Not much.

Thats why Helmet+Jacket+Gloves got first prio..

What?? Daijya is out then??? Which helmet then people?? Ls2 alone?

@m-jeri, Please get more feedback about LS2. I am not too impressed with the quality. For one, many of the LS2's that I have seen including mine, the visor fogs up when riding in the rain. I did not have this problem with my earlier GPR.
Secondly, the build quality is not really up to it. I am seeing rusting(strap),beadings coming off, premature wearing out of liners, even with moderate use in a short period. On the bright side, they are comfortable, look good, priced affordably, have adequate ventilation and do not have much wind noise.

If you are looking for an alternative to the LS2, I would second the recommendation for the SOL helmet mentioned earlier in this thread. Here is a review of the same helmet marketed under the GMax brand in the states. GMAX GM68S Helmet - webBikeWorld.

I would also say stay away from Daijya. There was some concerns raised with the authenticity of the brand as the apparent 'parent' company Marushin laid no claim to the brand when they were emailed. Of course, all word of this was hushed up after DSG bacame a sponsor of xBHP.

My current setup:
Helmet: Gmax GM68S (titanium) - Amazon.com: Gmax GM68S Titanium Full Face Helmet: Sports & Outdoors
Jacket: Fieldsheer High Flow II Mesh Jacket (black) - FieldSheer High Flow II Mesh Jacket - $89.99 closeout special! In stock NOW! :: MSRP: $129.99
Gloves: Fieldsheer Sonic Air II (black) - Fieldsheer Sonic Air Mesh Gloves - RevZilla - I wouldn't recommend these to anyone as they have worn out way too quickly compared to the rest of my gear.
Boots: Orazo Picus Waterproof (black\black) - http://www.orazosafety.com/buy_picus.aspx
Kneepads (unused): Cramster pads I stole from a friend :P - would recommend riding pants instead of this.

Thanks mate.. I had that link. But nothing was opening for me. I was searching for something else. and found another address for it. same layout.

Anyways Helmet i guess will be SOL SL68s II Metal Man. Love the Gfx.

Nice graphics. Please note that the review is for version 1 of the helmet, so your mileage may vary as far as this one goes. I'm not aware of any reviews for this version of it.

call the orazo people. To me they said to get the size of leg from any of the bata showrooms. That size is what they follow.

I replaced my long serving AGV (Indian) after it accidentally slipped from my friends hands and landed on the road. It was one of the most comfortable, durable and best fitting helmets i had ever used (and i even used the Daijya which i had shared pics on E).

Anyways, last december i bought an R Jays Apex from Bachoo Motors in Mumbai for 5.5k or so & though i was sceptical of it living up to the AGV's comfort n fit.. it has simply blown me away! The quality, durability,fit & finish.. everything is as good if not better than the AGV. Also it's more streamlined, light but solidly compact! Not to mention, being an Australian brand... they're obviously rated strongly for safety.

If you can, i would sincerely recommend you get in touch with Bachoo Motors (they're on facebook too & often post deals and discounts there) and ask them if they can ship one to you

Even i got a Rjay's Apex Large Size helmet for myself . I paid 4.5k for the same.
I would say comfortability wise they are really comfortable with good cushioning on all sides , then there are switch kinda things i assume for ventilation purpose (near the chin and head point) . Only problem i found is they are slightly loose on the cheeks and pretty heavy till you get used to it.

@m-jeri
Did you get your DS primal gloves yet, how good are they and the size you got??
I am looking to get some DSG gloves too, wondering which size to go for, I measured my hand with a tape which came to ~9inches(medium), but what if it doesn't fit :(
@devesh38
Bro know any shops in chennai who sell riding gear stuffs such as DSG , etc.??

Only got the Axe Knee and Elbow Protectors and the balaclava till now. I waiting till November to get these stuff. As opposed to online, I am planning to go to Blore and get them.

Not yet. Thght of going to blore last month. But didnt happen. Wanted to go this month... but like all weekends till now..something or this thing.. :(

So planning for a Jan trip. Called and inquired few places. Got some idea where to go and what all to get.

Thght of just paying and doing all online... but a myntra puma shoe purchase left a sour note to do wearables online.

yea.. that i did.. Only used for one ride..

Reliable???.. How do u want me to test that.. :). But yea the padding is flimsy... it keeps going here and there.. :@
