Hi, I'm new to the forum and looking to get a gaming rig for 35k w/o Monitor over the next 1-2 months.
This looks like decent build but should I opt for X6 instead?

Right now I'm using an Hp laptop DV6-2005ax from 2009 with AMD m500 2.2GHz and 1 GB ATI 4650, which is decent.
Also, I may want to add another GPU later so I want a highly scalable system.

Thanks a ton in advance.

^^ yea nvidia gts 450 ...

@ comp@ddict - op is asking for 17" lcd ...19 "is a good choice..also I am using same monitor ...it is a superb vfm lcd ...also vx 450 is not an overkill ...later he can upgrade hardwares ..like adding led fans ,more HDD's ,blu ray drive etc

I hope its not a widescreen monitor, cuz wide screen doesn't suite my resolution.
So is it a final rig or yu gotta make any changes??

P.S : wat is the second corsair item? Sry i'm noob at hardware.

Better go for the AMD HD 5770 it is better performer compared to the nVidia GTS 450 OR wait for the upcoming nVidia GTX 550 -- Bench - GPU11 - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News

yea..it is a wide screen monitor...don't worry ...you can play DOTA w/o any issues...1366 x 768 is the resolution of that dell 1920....with a gts 450 , you can play all types of games.. I will never recommend you a ATI gfx card..IMHO try a gts 450 or wait for 550 ...nvidia drivers are superb...

&

that 2nd corsair item is the power supply unit...

The reason why i dont need a widescreen monitor is tat i'm used to play in square monitor reso. I'm a professional dota player. I've tried playing on widescreen but its never comfortable for me. So pls suggest a square one. Ty:)

Ok guys, getting it in 10 days. Pls gimme a proper rig.
Monitor 17" or 19" which isn't widescreen. And also suggest me a gud dealer in S.p road, bangalore.

@Shady

Why dont u want widescreens , trust me they are much better for gaming and watching movies than square ones(4:3) , You can make your widescreen display in 4:3 mode for particular games or watever may be ur reason (I use 4:3 only while playing cs 1.6) , so think and take a decision

Cheers :)

Finally I hv found a shop which is selling, Gigabyte 880 GMA-UD2H. I think it is the best board and is being sold for Rs.4600/- in the markets. May be also now available elsewhere.

Hmmmm, I wont buy speakers and wud prefer to buy a headphone worth 600.

Wats the memory of tat inbuilt GPU?? Is it gud enough??
Or
Wud I get a gud GPU if I increase my budget by 5k(mostly i wont be able to increase the budget)

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

Suggest me 2 rigs.

1.) Amd with budget of 33-34k.
2.) Intel with budget of 39-40k.
Sry for too much of trouble :)
