Yes. They eat a lot BUT : You will spend less on blankets/medicines (you'll get less sick) thermals etc. The experience is superior. I am serious.
Agreed... Plus you need to use only for a month or two at Max(depending on one's tolerance to cold). I used it only for a month, last 2 weeks of Dec and 1st two weeks on Jan. After that, the cold subsided.
I just found it difficult to keep myself tucked inside the Rajai, blanket or any woollen wear and not feeling breathless. And the medicines were the worst part.

Yep... same for me.. usage from dec 10/15 till maybe end of Jan. Max usage in Jan. I used to have constant headaches before buying this and always dreaded winters.

I just got the Havell's 11 fin today for approx 9.3K. Flipkart has a good 10% off for SBI cards but delivery would have taken a week. Have put it in the drawing room which is a bit big & kinda open. Will share my feedback.

Is there any performance difference between zig-zag fins and traditional straight line fins in oil radiators?

Or is it just looks?

Great. Though what size is the drawing room. These heaters need closed rooms to create a formidable change in environment temperature. Else their function is reduced to a mere rod heater. Stand close and get warm. In a closed room (which would be at 10C), with an oil heater running one can be in a t shirt / shorts and relax.

Yes, I guess i'll move it to my bedroom after a day or two of running it and testing in drawing room. The size is approx 20x14 and opens up to dining space with a huge doorless passage so may not help keep it warm!

So the OFR can actually keep the drawing room warm despite it not being an insulated environment. Keeping it there for now. The only grouse is that it takes at least an hour and a half or more for it to be noticeably warm (purely due to size & openness of room). If somebody comes from outside and needs quick heating then the quartz or air blower needs to be pressed in action.

Go for the second one, looks better IMO and 'probably' the fin design may aid in better heat transfer.
