Hi Guys

Most of you might be knowing about this software called "rthdribl"
I came to know about this software long time ago from Funky.

I must say i have never seen any software stress your PSU & GPU like this does.

My GPU normally while playing NFSMW & Doom3 reaches 48~50C
with Ati Silencer with this software it touched 55C & man look at

The Voltages on the 12 , 5 & 3.3 its lowered to 11.78 , 4.97 , 3.23
normally when i play games the 12V line drops max to 11.97~12.03V
5 & 3.3 V line is ok.

Everest is no more a free download now.
Use ne software with which u monitor ur Voltages.

Rthdribl
~~~~~~
Rthdribl is a "Real-time High Dynamic Range Image-Based Lighting" demo. DirectX(R) 9.0 high-precision texture formats and version-2.0 of Pixel Shader represent real-time true HDR rendering.
Technical features of the demo are:
- True HDR (High-Dynamic Range) Rendering
- IBL (Image-Based Lighting)
- Glare Generation (Afterimage, Bloom, Halo, Ghost, and Star)
- Automatic Exposure Adjustment
- Iris shaped Depth of Field blur
- Realistic Motion Blur
- FSAA (Full-Scene Anti-Alias)
- Fresnel Effect (Specular Reflectance) etc.
Screenshots
My idle GPU Temp & PSU Rail
GPU Temp:- 42~43C
12V - 12.10V
My Normal GPU Temp & PSU Rail are while Gaming
GPU Temp:- 48~50 C
12V - 12.03 to 11.97 V
GPU Temp & PSU Rail are with rthdribl
GPU Temp:- 54~55 C
12V - 11.78~11.84 V
Didnt find much diff on 3.3 & 5 V Rails.
Run "rthdribl" for 5Mins and see ur GPU & PSU comming down on there knees ;)
Please guys i request you guys to post your screenshots with Everest & Rthdribl.
ran for 6-7 mins, voltages fluctuated between 12.032 n 11.968, +3.3 n +5 was rock steady......mobo temps were 42c n cpu was 39c with fan on max speed
Hehe thats cos ur 6200TC ain't putting any load on the PSU ;).
ran it for around 5 - 8min. already had it on my pc.
12v rail was constant at 12.1 all the time, no fluctuations :-)
gpu temp max was around 63- 66
I remember appo telling me about his 6800U that he had sold that to blade.
Guys ur antec PSU's are rock stable.
Guys please post your voltages
here is the pic
taken around 5 or 6min into rthdr. all the rails 12v, 5v & 3.3v stayed the same value without fluctuating throughout the 5min.
the chasis & psu fan rpms are interchanged in the pic & also the cpu temp is off by around 8 - 15 degrees, sensor bug on the mobo.
well no fluctuations here too.
Stays where it is.
This temp and voltage readings are after 30-40 minutes of rthdribl.
Its cold here today so temp are lower. Otherwise foes upto 47C.
well quad even we can put the ac on give temps. but that isnt practical for every1 else to know as they will get the wrong idea of the temps.
so atleast mention or cause someone maythink that ati silencer is really that good. lol
12v dropped from 11.72 idle to 11.66 and 3.3v dropped from 3.20 to about 3.15v after few mins .. temps stayed constant at 40c
i dont trust buggy corecenter for voltages tho :P will get everest and try later
^^Tell me that those reading are wrong. 11.1V is insane. It'll end up shortening component life significantly!
whatever component is taking power from ur 12v ofcourse.
but i dont think any hardware will go bust. maybe it will cause instability sometimes or the psu might get spoilt.
its not the low voltages that kills instruments. But change in voltages under idle-load-full load which causes such voltage change can damage your system.
+12v line is critical,almost 90% of the system power is drawn from the 12v line.
With cards like 7800GT/GTX i strongly recommend iinvesting in better PSU. 7800Gt is gona cause these huge changes in 12v line under load and idle.
but i have only a 6800 GT. and what components can get damaged??
And getting PSU replaced is not an option..... it is not damaged. And no money to buy a new one.
