Can any one give me the number of an RTO agent in Bangalore, preferably near Marathalli?:hap2:

I brought my bike from Dehradun and got the NOC, now I need to pay the Karnataka State Taxes.
 
9880242521 - Murthy @ Indiranagar RTO. You gotta bargain a bit....he's a clever chap. very good at getting things done. but pay the full amount only after he gets things done.

Me too in a similar situation. Bought my bike from Punjab and need to pay Karnataka Road Tax.

Let me know how you go about this. Will be really helpful.
 
someone at top making lotsa money! traffic cops have been checking at every nook and corner(which i used to take)

btw, If you have all the papers, first go to the RTO and try to pay yourself. ID proof, address proof(rental agreement), insurance, pollution check. thats all you need. Try to be there before lunch, otherwise you gotta pay by DD.

Is the NOC required?
 
@Arya Thanks a lot!

The bike is in my dad's name and I do not have an address proof out here in his name. I got the NOC in December itself, thats how I have been worming out of paying those thugs the bribes, plus I hide behind a big truck or something if I see them from afar. :D

You can get the NOC form online.

Just print three copies, get a pencil print of chasis number on them and then take to Punjab and get a NOC.

Any idea about how much would this cost? and are they open on saturdays?
 
^half day. second saturdays off.

vNerd: Don't worry...they'll catch you sooner than later :P. I've seen them at most unusual places in past two months. Pay the agent...he'll get it done. My bike was in my bros name too.
