They already have started to show up on the used market especially the 4060 and the 4070, I have seen a coupe of 4070 Ti and 4070 Ti supers as well. There are not as many as the 3000 series cards but there are some out there. There should be more in about 4-6 months when the market settles down a bit.

Thanks makes me want to just buy a 1080p card for now and get a 4070 super or if a deal is good a 4080 down the line

Just buy whichever used GPU your budget allows (while not being stupid and buying lets say a 3090) and sell it right back once 40 series become cheaper. You don't necessarily have to look for a 1080p card. 30 series is pretty sweet for 1440p gaming right now. Only issue is limited VRAM (which even 40 series didn't exactly fix, thank you NVIDIA) for which you will have to look for an AMD card but since you are looking for a NVIDIA card I assume that's a big no. Also AMD cards aren't as value for money in India compared to other countries.
Yeah until 50 series become affordable people will keep their 40 series card. 6 months to a year easily.

I thought it was gonna be a year till the prices come down how much do you think the 9070xt will settle at? around 65k? and i dont particularly mind buying a 1080p card since im gonna offload my current build in its entirety to my brother
A 9070 XT is a 1440p card and will be overkill for 1080p, but still, a good to have if you plan on keeping it for a long time.
It also depends on the CPU that you have, for the correct balancing.
9070 XTs have been seen selling in the high-mid 70s, AFAIK. Should hopefully drop a bit more.

9070xt is being scalped left and right so I doubt it will get much lower anytime soon. As to when I can't say.
If you really need a 1440p card right now you can get a RX7800XT for 34-37k used. It will perform better than 4070, Has 16GB VRAM and there's like 10-13% difference between 4070 and 4070 ti performance at 1440p so it shouldn't be a deal breaker.
Definitely something to consider. Especially for gaming at 1440p and below.

had someone selling a 7900 gre for 45k used for just a month think i should go for that?

All up to you. It depends on how much you value the performance difference between something like 7800XT and 7900 GRE.
I'm sure you already know this but just in case you don't there is a GPU performance graph we can look at to get a general sense of performance difference.
As you can see 7800 XT is at around 105fps and 7900 GRE is at 114fps.

yeah i knew the gre is closer to the 7800xt in performance but i havent seen any 7800xts for sale seems the smart decision would be to just ride out this new gpu craze

9070XT will realistically settle for 65k in a few months. 7800XT is still a good choice for 45k IMO, good 1440p GPU. Better buy this than used 3080 (unless you are getting used 3080 for 25k or lower).
Used is used, kind of rolling the dice. 7900GRE has a better OC potential. 10% performance uplift using OC is easy as 7900GRE is based on 7900XT. With OC, it is within 5% margin of 7900XT & 4070Ti. Your call on new 7800XT vs used 7900GRE.
