Navigadget has posted a rumor that there will be the iPhone with the GPS-receiver announced in spring 2008. Reportedly, it will be likely built on SiRF Star III chip. Apple plans to apply Assisted GPS (A-GPS) technology, the source says. It stands out for minimum location time and the capability to work in environment with lots of objects disturbing the signal, for example, buildings and trees.
