It seems that you are upgrading from 5800. So I would suggest you to take a demo on croma or any stores before for all the list you mentioned. This gives you the idea about the size and others.
IMO, s3 is way very good.

Get good case along with the S3 like otterbox defender or trident kraken etc if you drop phone a lot ...
