When did you decide to go all Salman Khan? :P

Also re-size those pics to 1024x768, instead of posting thumbnails. Just checked the game guide and we are halfway through Act 1. :D

what is this co op ??? game is addictive, ive loved the 2 so i do love the 3. shall be finishing the game over the weekend. then up for sale if anyone wants lemme know.

Finished this game yesterday and all I can say is, this game is just insane and off-the-hook. Absolutely enjoyed the ride right from the first mission to the last. Every mission is over-the-top and crazier than the previous. At one point, I was driving a open-top car with a tiger in the backseat, next I was racing a tron style light cycle, I even took part in a wrestling match. One mission had me bombing the enemy tanks with a UAV drone, in another I was inside a virtual-reality simulator. At one point, there was even a small text-based mini-game.
Other than missions, there are a huge number of activities to do. Insurance fraud, Prof. Genki reality shows, Tank mayhems, stealing specific cars and selling them to the chop shop, assassinations etc. There are tons of abilities to upgrade from health, health regen, damage, increased ammo (even infinite ammo when you reach lvl 50), gang member weapons etc. There are tons of properties to buy all over the city. As and when you capture the strongholds, you can then upgrade them for higher respect and increased cash-flow.
The shooting was pretty good too. The variety of weapons is just crazy. Obviously, there are some crazy weapons like a Mind Controlling weapon, a retro-style pixelised tank, a futuristic pulse-cannon that is attached to the hand and laser rifles. All the weapons can be upgraded to make them more powerful. Similar variety can be found in the vehicles too. Any vehicle you steal can be brought to your crib garage and will be stored there forever. You can drive them whenever you want or even phone a friend to deliver one to your current location. All the vehicles can customised in the chop-shops.
Oh yeah, you customise your character too. Tattoos, clothes, silly costumes etc. There are even plastic surgeons who change the look of your characters if you want.
Graphics are pretty decent just like any game nowadays. But, I could not go all the way with my graphics card. My 2+year old 4870 showing its age now. I think with all effects, shadows, reflections turned high it should look pretty damn good. At least, it has proper Anti-aliasing within the game engine.
I'm sure there is still some stuff I've forgotten to mention. There is just so much stuff to do. Even then, I missed some stuff like racing. I dont know why they did not add even one race. Especially, since the driving and feel of vehicles is so damn good. I like the driving in this better than GTA4. There are no taxi missions, fire-truck missions, ambulance missions etc like in GTA SA. These missions are dropped from GTA4 too, but I used to enjoy doing these in GTA: VC and GTA: SA. This is my first time playing a Saints Row game though.
Now, Saints Row is always compared to GTA series, but I guess now both are headed in very different directions. One aspect where I feel it falls short of the GTA is in fleshing out the characters. GTA is very successful in creating truly memorable characters.
Anyway, my advice to anyone sitting on the fence about this title is to definitely play it. But, know before-hand, that this game is not about a deep story or anything like that.

TL;DR: If you just want some crazy fun and enjoyed GTA: SA style game-play, then this is for you.:hap2:

Prof. Genki's was a hilarious mission and so was visiting that BDSM club. :P

This game is seriously insane and way too much fun. Prett, what was your recpect level towards the end?

I was around lvl 45, still had one mission listed from Pierce. Plus, have tons of activities still to be completed.

i liked san andreas and to be honest i feel it has the best map till date.SR 3 on the other hand reminds of nfs series when considering the vehicles almost no damage! even it looks inferior when compared with the vehicles of sa.BTW at night SR3 city is quite good!!

well if you are an open world freak dosen't care about stories then its fun even in single player.

Replayed the last mission and got the other ending. This one was even better than the previous one. 'Gangstas in Space' FTW!!

does anyone here know of some sort of sound problem? Like everything in too low to be heard except the dialogues. Sounds of guns etc are barely audible and adjusting in the sounds menu has no effect at all. Was trying at a friend's. System, other than the game has fine sound.

^No dude, didnt get this issue. Check in the Steam forums, maybe someone might've suggested some fix. BTW, there was an update released on Steam yesterday and one of the lines in the patch notes mentioned that it fixes some sound issues. Not sure if they referred to the issue you are facing.

So playing the last mission again and choosing the 'other' option will give me an alternate ending ? Great !

I already finished with "Gangstas in Space" :D

I played with a girl charecter btw :)

Most over the top game i've played , completely absurd storyline , even GTA with cheats couldn't be more absurd/
