@panzer008

ny way to split it w/o losing quality? :S

newly launched LG LED LCD LH90 adds to confusion , is it better than sammy B750 LCD TV ?? I am suspicious about LG quality and product life...

@panzer008

Same question as abhi's. Can TV play HD movies through USB Pen Drive?? Or do you need a HD player?? pls clarify.

Yeah go for LG the LH90 series...Eyes closed

only Samsung B8000 LED TV and Sony XBR8[nt releases in india yet] LED TV tops that.

And 40 incher of LH90 should cost you max 80k.check it out properly.

Im getting LG 47LH90 for 90k.

the XBR8 has been released close to a year know its called the X450A in india.the LG LH90 and samsung 8500 edge LED lcd has local dimming.the samsung is yet to be launched.the sony has a rear mounted led backlight with local dimming tri luminos RGB led and the BE2 pro engine superior to the samsung and LG image processing.

No LH90 is also 240 hz .. just the link man.. Its an Effin LED TV...

has to be better than LCD's... just check the link..

And if u still want want samsung go for the LED series.

B750 is also good but will cost you arnd 90k... ur choice now...

8500 and X450A are waaaayyyy out of budget of the OP..

the LG isn't a true 200hz tv but a pseudo 100hz frame insertion+ 100hz LED blinking/flicker.this form 200hz is also available in X450A.but they aren't true 200hz like sony Z450,Z550A,(ZX5 yet to be launched) and samsung B750,B8000,B8500.

Best LCD TVs - CNET Reviews

well the Lg is good VFM.they produce the cheapest lcds in terms of price,according to LG lcd business head sony had approached LG for a possible use of their panels to use in sony tvs,but it looks like sony has rejected LG panels,possibly not meeting sonys picture quality standards ,which is mostly in the contrast area.

about the cnet reviews.well their reviews are one of the worst ,i mean if u look at the ratings they position samsung B750 ahead of XBR8^o ,which is still considered by the majority as the best lcd out there.

Sony rejecting LG panels and all that could well be a gimmick.

Heres a review by a member in highdefjunkies. He seems to rate the LG90 very high. Also, there are some others who rate it very high.

well i had seen that months ago,their was also a video in youtube,looks like every day bob and bud reviewed them.their reviews was also rejected by many, i remember a debate going on in another forums about their claims.
good sites are a few,one such is HDTVTEST.co.uk there review are unbiased.
CNET has become a joke read mostly by novices.

well LG response is that they haven't heard from sony yet which was around 6months ago.if sony will start using LG panels u will see 42inch and 47inch lcds,rather then the 40inch and 46inch lcds that they get from AU and S lcd .sony will eventualy ditch samsung panels and will use panels from their current supplier AU optronics and will add sharp panels from next year.

sharp as a got a new lcd tech called UV2A which will be used from 2010,it uses UV light to aid the movement of crystal in the LC layer.will this new tech make sharp or sony regain the NO1 slot in sales,only time will tell.

well about the LH90 it could very well be the lcd to beat in its price segment.it does use a IPS panel ,a conventional NON-Dimming back/edge light equipped lg tvs have poor blacks atleast when u compare them to plasmas and lcd from sony/samsung and other tvs that use VA based panels.but with local dimming it should help the lg lcd with better black in some areas.if the majority or large portion of the screen is black ,no doubt that it will have blacks that are deeper then plasmas and conventional sony/samsung lcd.if there is some detail to be shown but with lots of dark content then if it the LED behind dims then u will loose those traces of detail.so it comes down to how clever is LG algorithm to control the dimming.
but with VA based tvs like sony/samsung their blacks are already close to the best of the plasma and in some cases surpass,with LED dimming it will aid upto a certain extent.

well there is pannel lottery thing for B750 , so if only CMO panel is available then should the LH90 will be better bet ??? or should I go for B650 ??? I am really worried abt LG processing power n PQ

I guess panel make can be identified from the panel version number written on the TV box ...

Now its being almost a month since i have placed the order for LG LH90 ... Its advertise appeared only 2-3 times during diwali in newspapers and there is no mention of this after that... also its being solf out in many places and LG dealer has no idea when it will be available again !

so now I am back to square one ... :@

Now remaining choices are
Sammy 6000 edge lit LCD tv ,sony W550 :-|

I read somewhere that 2009 lineup of Sony TV's doesnt have "Sony" quality ...

well to me the 09 sony are just about as good as older tvs in quality,agree tvs like Z450A is better then the new Z550A.
but performance wise the new 09 are certainly better.
both B6000A and sony W550A good choices.
