Samsung has introduced a new variant of Galaxy Tab 3 targeted at children called Galaxy Tab 3 Kids.
"It's no secret that kids are using technology more than ever before," said JK Shin, CEO and Head of IT & Mobile Communication at Samsung Electronics. "We saw an opportunity to create a device just for kids that provides them with an intuitive, fun and kid-friendly user experience filled with rich, interactive and educational content that parents will love."
The Galaxy Tab 3 Kids comes with pre-loaded apps and other content for children and a Kid's store for more stuff. It also includes a Time Management feature that allows parents to set specific time periods for use. It also has Application Manager to allow parents to select the apps that their kids will have access to.
The Galaxy Tab 3 has a rugged frame which is much needed for children, but there it is not water resistant. It also includes a C Pen which can be used for drawing on the tablet.
