IMEIs manufactured before November 6, 2010: 352982040855394 or lower - 5393, 5392, etc. ( (only pay attention to the last 4 digits of the IMEI number. If your IMEI is numerically below 5394 then you are within the range of problem units. Again ignore the first 11 digits... Samsung Captivate

You read it right !

Brand new Samsung Galaxy S which is also known as Samsung Captivate in US, can be bought at 21K right shipped to your door :)

Specs are same as Galaxy S, only difference is camera and build.

-It doesn't have front camera.

-Design and Build are different, than that of SGS. The design is really good compared to SGS and doesn't look cheap and plastic build.

Samsung Vibrant

It is Galaxy S T-Mobile variant. It exactly looks like SGS. So those who 'like' the design of SGS can buy it.

Difference between Captivate and Vibrant is in Design and it's Proccy. More about it.

Please Google about it for more. It has some lag issues [not sure].

yeah, even I had seen 18K-19K new BIN pieces. 20-21K is just upper bound :)

I found Vibrant bit costly. Vibrant just looks like SGS.

Difference is in Processor and Build. check here - Samsung i897 Captivate vs. Samsung Vibrant - GSMArena.com

And build and design of Captivate is lot better than Vibrant.

You can offer "reasonable" to the sellers directly for the auction listings. Many of them agree. I offered my best price of 320$ for a new one and 280$ for a mint one and both the sellers agreed. I can give the links once I'm at home.

But some sellers decline to ship to an address which is not Paypal verified.

Ask Varkey if he knows about any workaround.
