Samsung captivate - is it a good choice

Am getting 4 months old mint condition captivate for 10.5k.

With Samsung announcing it wont be getting ics update, is it a good buy.

^^Get it. Bargain it to 10K. Even if no official ICS, there will be enough custom ICS ROMs don't worry

I own a cappy but 10.2k is a bit high . . I got BNIB for 11.8. . .yeah cappy kicks ass. . .There is already an ICS release candidate ROM. . .But the disappointing part is that the AOSP custom roms out there dont support high end media playback though they are very very fast. . .But with the $ being so high . . .I suggest yu wait until june next year and source yourself an S II from the United states. . .

But dont think of any other phones SAMOLED kicks ass .

I am also getting a brand new defy , US version - no warranty, brand new for 9.5k. So what shud it be galaxy captivate or the defy.
