I am planning to buy the Samsung Champ mobile which is listed in ebay deal of week.

eBay India: SAMSUNG CHAMP C3303 TOUCH SCREEN WITH CAMERA+BILL (item 260675533130 end time 23-Oct-2010 08:00:00 IST)

So i want to know about few of the features of the mobile before buying it.

Can we store Birthdays of our Contacts like in SE phones?(Reminders, Notes etc...?)
How many alarms can we set? Does it have snooze feature :) (Very important for me. I need at lease 2-3 alarms set to wake up :P)
Does the phone behave sluggishly when we use it with a 8GB microSDHC card?
How good is the music quality with earphones(Compared to SE/Nokia music phones) and the SQ & loudness via speakers.
Also need some feedback about batter backup. Does it last 2-3 days on a single charge? (Typical usage would be 20-30 mins calls, alarm, 1-2 hrs music via heaphones and 20 mins via speakers --> daily)

Last but not least do we get the in ear plugs type with the C3303 (IINM the non-camera version is called the C3300 and comes with normal handsfree)

Also what are the accessories we get with it?
Battery, Charger, handsfree(in-ear type?), 1GB microSD, micro-USB cable?, small leather pouch ?

2 More then 5 ( I have tested till 5 only) yes it do have Snoozzzzzzzzzz feature
3 Using 2 GB card all filled but no add on appliactions not slugish at all
4 I am using Sony Walkman + EP 630 when i connect Ep630 to champ apart from base which it lacks a bit (which i like a lot) i cant sense much difference. May be coz Ep630 is ment for base only :) but seriosly its satisfactory in champ
5 My Champ last for almost 2 days with excessive musing on earphones and some calls and many sms
6 Yes you will get in ear buds with champ without cam version but they are like shit in front of Ep630
7 Apart from Micro cable you will get all and Micro SD adapter also

Thanks :) Answers most of my questions.
Can we minimize the music player and do messaging? (In some low end samsung ones music player wont run in the back ground :@)
Can we assign differenct ringtone for different contacts?(Do we have to copy the songs that has to assigned as ringtone to the phone memory?)
How is the in call quality in low reception areas?

My dad uses the same phone

Trust me , you'll not be disappointed at all

Music player minimize yes

Good call quality yes

I don't know about assigning ring-tones haven't tried it

Video playing capability is surprisingly good for a sub 4k phone

Music quality is good with bundled IEMs and my HD180

Yes, you can minimize the music player and do messaging
You can assign differenct ringtone for different contacts? no need to copy the songs that has to assigned as ringtone to the phone memory.
Call quality in low reception areas is acceptable though now a days it depends much on your Sim Connection :)

would like to mention that samsung batteries have very good backup but after 6~8 months it starts drying up

but those earphones are at least 5 times better than those crap nokia ones which come with 5233

rs 100, here.
yest my champ got drained. had 3 bars when i left home. tried to use it at 1pm it was dead. thought it had died. came home, charger showed zero charge. charged it, working now.
let me know if you ( anyone else too ) has a similar experience
btw : i carry it in my backpack, signal blocked ?

sometimes samsung battery shows 3 bars and then it directly reduces to one bar . I have noticed it many times that it never shows 2 bars

Dial *#02228# to check battery percentage on samsung phones

I wish to gift this phone to my younger sister. I saw that it comes with a stylus. Is it a *must* to use with resistive touchscreen? If the stylus is lost, can it be replaced??

The stylus is just a addon. Its comfortable enough to use it with fingers.

Nope there is no More > Keyboard options option in my phone. Damn the screen has picked up a minor scratch. Will stylus usage cause minor scratches occasionally? Have to get a screen gaurd for this.

very sorry my mistake its *#0228#

I don't think you need scratch guard for samsung touch screen phones as my phone doesn't get scratch with sharp nails too.

I think it will get a scratch only after trying a needle lol

The battery info says unknown battery :S It has the following details,
Voltage: 3.75V
Temp : 28C
Charge Current 0mA
Charge Voltage: 4.200000

Can other champ users post here on what they get as battery info?
My Champ Model No: CT-3300D
