Samsung Focus i917 battery problem

OK.. I have been facing battery problems a lot with my Samsung Focus. Bought it off Ebay.in about 4 months ago I think.
The batter if charge full in the morning goes to about almost nill at the end of the day. Wifi is always off. Only data connection is on and listening to music say 1.5 hrs on commute. average mail checking.
The batter is flat and not puffed at the center. The battery has 'made in China' stamped on it.
Compared to the new battery pic that Renegade posted in the past, the 2 differences are 'made in China' and '3.7V Li-ion BATTERIE 5.55Wh' instead of Renegade's 6.11 Wh.
I also get constant hang ups,disconnection while talking on the phone,inability to connect to a site when data connection is on(restarting the phone enables the browsing capability again). What gives?

Well even I experience similar battery life. Even on a new battery, I have to charge it by 11PM. Though I do use Wifi for an hour, some gaming, heavy mail usage and lots of calls.
Off late I have been experiencing random restarts but I think that is more to do with the moisture that seems to have hit the power button. I could be wrong.
Now coming back to your query, I doubt that the official service centers will take up your case. You can probably try out the local service centers. Have you tried a factory reset though? Maybe some app is causing this problem of instability.

That happens?If I perform the factory reset, will i lose the settings and content from my phone?
my experience with multiple batteries hasn't been nice. I think its because of the battery specific calibration, I hope you've calibrated your new battery

Not that it is of any use to you but my frequent restart/shutdown problem got solved on its own. I did not do anything.
Yes you will lose your settings and content so backup whatever you can and note down the apps you have.
