Samsung is going to launch an update to their entry level Android offering, the Galaxy Pocket Plus. True to it's name, the Galaxy Pocket Plus will fit with utmost comfort-ability in your pocket. The Plus actually means some upgrade over the original Galaxy Pocket, unlike the recent not-so-true case with the Galaxy S II Plus.

The Galaxy Pocket is nothing short of impressive. It's just an entry level droid, and it's now been updated to a more recent Android 4.0 operating system, got a bump in RAM from 384 MB to 512 MB and got it's internal storage boosted to 4 GB. Otherwise, this is pretty much the same tiny ugly phone you already are familiar with.
Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus Specifications

  • Broadcom BCM21654 chipset
  • 850 Mhz single core Processor
  • 512MB of RAM
  • 2.8″ QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) TFT screen
  • 2-megapixel camera
  • 4 GB of internal storage
  • A-GPS / Bluetooth v3.0 / USB v2.0 HS / WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) / FM Radio
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Digital Compass
  • 1,200mAh battery
  • Android (4.0.4) Ice Cream Sandwich

The phone is nothing to get impressed by. It really won't make you wait out the next Nexus 5 or something. What it does write is offer a good pocketable phone for those on the go at an affordable price.

However, with the current market it is wiser to spend the same money on an Indian manufacturer product such as Micromax, Karbonn or Spice and get much more value for your money with an infinitely better smartphone.
