Samsung Galaxy S III officially launched in India for Rs. 43,180

Samsung Galaxy S III has now been officially launched in India after being unveiled earlier this month at an Event at London, England. The S III is an impressive phone which packs in a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED screen (with a 720x1280 resolution), 1.4 GHz CPU and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It also has a 8 MegaPixel camera with auto focus and LED flash and also a 1.9 MegaPixel Front Facing Camera which also has HD recording at 30 FPS and includes Face recognition too.
The Galaxy S III has some very unique feature only officially available on this phone, which include S Voice (like Apple's Siri, but less impressive), S Beam, All Share Play, All Share Cast, Pop up play, Best Photo etc. The My Movies app enables the users access to hundreds of Indian movies, trailers and film songs. The My Music lets you Download English and Bollywood song. The My Reader app offers Indian newspapers, magazines and over 3 million books including audio books. The My Station app lets users to watch live concerts.
Other features include a 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory which is expandable upto 64 GB with a MicroSD card. The connectivity features include, 3G (HSPA+ 21Mbps), Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, and GPS. It has 2,100 mAh battery.
The Samsung S III only comes in Marble White colour currently, and is priced at Rs. 43,180. The phon currently also comes with 3 GB of free 3G data for 2 months for Vodafone customers which is to be valid till the 31st of August. The alternate, Pebble Blue colour version will be made available from next week.
