I don't see any significant advantage of using hover gestures over touch.

Yeah, it will probably end up being nothing but a gimmick like the Smart Stay gimmick in S3/Note 2.

hope they launch it soon! Hopefully Samsung will then reduce SIII and introduce S2+ to replace their aging S2 in India. Thanks!

With the way screen size are increasing there could be tremendous benefits in terms of on screen navigation.

The Galaxy S II Plus is worse than the 'aging' Galaxy S2 in most areas.

With the way screen size are increasing there could be tremendous benefits in terms of on screen navigation.

The waving hand in front of screen and all which I believe even Sony has deployed in some of their laptops in some specific apps is okiesh as of now but when it is perfected it will be very cool as in waving hands in front of screen to change picture and all. Like those Hollywood movies.
But I am not sure how this hovering will be beneficial in phones and my personal opinion is it will be a gimmick.
