Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant Upgrade issues

Hi Guys

I have 2.1 on Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant and i want to upgrade it to 2.2 (Froyo)

Its unlocked by my friend..

If i upgrade it to 2.2 Froyo using Kies will it lock my phone again?

Please explain me the procedure

I upgraded to 2.2 using Samsung Kies and it worked fine.

The Phone did not get locked

why dont u use a custom rom, the samsung rom is blehh you should odin to 2.1 one click root, then custom rom to a decent 2.2.1 rom withi voodoo lag fix
