A unit of the Samsung Galaxy S III has already been introduced to UK carriers - in a steel box

They did their best to keep it under wraps.

^^ The link is saying its a minor update, but then says the specs will be similar to One X. A quadcore SOC with 720p of Super Amoled plus is a pretty big upgrade IMO, and thats what everyone is expecting.

^^^the only reason I am thinking of moving to iOS for sometime coz our android devices are great but somewhere the apps are lacking

even if they are great but most are not power efficient

i honestly think that buttonless is the way for android.not only will it give more real estate to the user by maintaining the same size, but also they can go for a proper unibody design which can help them to accommodate longer battery.

yep.the build quality feels a bit plasticky and cheap.even for my note it feels very cheap when i hold it in comparison to the iphone 4.

but, there is also a plus side to it.the covers cost around 300 bucks on ebay and i shit you not when i say they look as good as the orignal
ohyeah.gif

By covers, you mean just the back (talking about the Note) or also the front ?

That metallic look is due to Samsung providing fake enclosures to protect the final look. It was mentioned by phone / gsm arena.

midrange phone? it competes with my galaxy note for ffs!

The phone in the video has a Mali 400 GPU. The GS3 will definitely have something better!

Also,

Look at this article published a while back:

http://www.ubergizmo.com/2012/03/the-samsung-i9300-might-be-the-galaxy-m-a-mid-range-android-device/

You can read these too:

http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-GT-i9300-photo-leaks-leaves-us-wondering-if-this-is-the-Samsung-Galaxy-S-III_id28323

http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/03/22/blurrycam-photos-surface-of-samsung-gt-i9300-probably-isnt-the-phone-youve-been-waiting-for/

What do you think?

I think all these leaks of the same device and rumors of an incremental upgrade (over the GS2) are of another phone which will be priced lower than the GS3. It will either be the Galaxy M or an upgraded GS2 priced lower than the GS3!
