Following the previous rumour of the yet-to-be-announced Samsung Galaxy S6 sporting a half-metal body, the anticipated Samsung flagship is now being tipped by an Italian blog to sport a complete aluminium build. Notably, Samsung has already launched its full-metal handset range, the Galaxy A series.

The Samsung Galaxy S6, in-line with an earlier report, is also being tipped by the blog to sport a 'dual-edge' display that will be curved on the both (right and left) sides. Samsung's first smartphone to feature an 'edge display' is the Galaxy Note Edge.

The purported Galaxy S6 with a curved display may be the rumoured Galaxy S6 Edge instead, which an earlier report claimed would launch alongside the Galaxy S6. Sammobile had claimed that like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the limited edition Galaxy Note Edge variant, Samsung will launch a Galaxy S6 Edge variant alongside the Galaxy S6.

Earlier this month a purported variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6 was spotted on the AnTuTu benchmark site along with some detailed specifications. The benchmark listing of the alleged Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G925F) shows the device running Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box on a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor alongside Mali-T760 GPU and 3GB of RAM, in-line with earlier reports.

Notably, the SM-G925F model number of the Samsung Galaxy S5 successor is one of the several expected region-based model numbers of the Galaxy S6 that was reported earlier. According to the leaked model numbers of the Galaxy S6, the SM-G925F is a European variant of the flagship.

Samsung will price it at above 50000 and it will fall to 35000 in two months. Why does not Samsung realise it is not apple?

Nope I think something is changing with Samsung. Note 4 and galaxy alpha still maintaining their launch prices!

Agree. I am waiting for a marginal price drop on the note 4 and I am finding myself in an endless wait. The price hasn't even breached the 50K mark.

As capable smartphones, Samsung Galaxy S series were better than Apple's in every generation (Except maybe the S5 which didn't make a lot of sense compared to S4). Both of the series cost close to $200 to manufacture, but putting low price would actually be detrimental to Samsung's brand value just like it is the case with Apple.

Ex: companies like Xiaomi and One Plus makes very well built phones, in fact, far better than most of the costlier brands and it costs them the same as Apple or Samsung, but due to their price point, most people who don't know about them would perceive them as just another no name brand from china.

Samsung does make good phones hardware wise but there is always something called as optimisation.

A key link between Hardware and software.
No company currently optimises androids better than Moto recently. We saw that while comparing Nexus 5 and Moto X.

Apple has it's own genesis of software.iPhone 6 Plus is super fast than any phone today due to it's optimised software.

^^ There are several ways to optimize and Apples way of optimizing has always been to cut down and restrict what their hardware and software can do.
The overall usability of a smartphone is determined by much more than powerful hardware or optimized software. What that hardware and software actually offers to the user is equally important.

Apple followed the footsteps of other manufacturers and made a large screened phone defying Steve Jobs own statements on the subject. But what exactly does it offer (apart from a larger screen) compared to its smaller sibling leave alone its competition. In contrast, compare the Galaxy S and the Note series and compare the Note series to iPhone 6 plus. iPhone 6 plus may have faster hardware, but its all a waste since its just the same thing as its younger sibling.

It's not just about restrictions.many people just want minimalism, safety and ease of use.
And top of that it's the years of association they are cuddled through.

You can't let enterprises shed away from apple.

iPhone 6 + does has good hardware but if you compare battery usage or all in the box an economical usage ; yep it's best at that.

Now if we talk of Samsung;Come on they should stop enhancing touchwiz and make it super light.

They should focus on Google apps more other than bloatware like S voice,Chatton, etc.

Why can't you optimize default android apps like play music, hangouts, etc. for touchwiz when people wan't stock android like experience.

That is exactly what dumb/multimedia phones are. Nothing wrong about that either, iPhone is probably the best multimedia phone, but then, Apple tries to market their phones as smartphones which I think it makes for a lousy one.

As for Samsung, you are just assuming that everyone out there prefer a stock android experience which is not the case. I like the UI enhancements in Touch Wiz and I prefer it over stock. I have moved from a Galaxy S3 to a Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro and I really miss many of the small niceties that TouchWiz had.

I don't want Samsung to to mess with play music and other Google apps, I want them to enhance and optimize their own offerings. If people want stock android, they will go and get a device with it and if they want it on their samsung, they can obviously install a ROM.

Heck, I have the option of both stock and Vibe UI out of the box on my Vibe Z2 Pro and I still don't use stock.
