I guess he is asking whts the price in stores like croma and all plus at wht price u can get it frm area like e.g lamington etc...

Even i m looking for same info

As u ppl know nc10 is here but not hear abt nc10se or other model stuff

The NC10SE won't be released out here. The only option available is the N110, besides the original NC10 of course (Rs. 20k in the deal last month @Croma).

Because it's an Amazon exclusive. As things stand at the moment, Amazon does not have an online or retail store in India and the N110 which is a clone of the NC10SE is getting a global release very soon.

hmm interesting...btw..i m now waiting for via vx 80 chipset related model...as that will b more future proof.......as it will b able to run windows 7 plus 1080 video

You don't have to wait. The NC20 is already available with that chipset and a 12" display. 30K in the UK. Battery life suffers obviously.

I checked out the Samsung NC10, the Lenovo Ideapad S10 and the Acer Aspire One I Croma Bangalore yesterday(The outlet did not seem as good as other Croma outlets in other cities in terms of pricing. That's Bangalore for you. Everything is overpriced.)

In terms of exterior looks, the Acer Aspire One was the best, the Samsung came 2nd, the Lenovo exterior was a bit of a disappointment and not what I'd thought it would be.

The plastic screen border is too thick on the Aspire One. It's just right on the S10. (I forgot about the NC10.)

In terms of keyboard, I liked the typing on the Aspire One. The depth and response felt right. The Samsung NC10 came in 2nd and the Lenovo 3rd. I did not feel that the keypresses on the Lenovo were deep enough.

The trackpad seemed ok to use on all three netbooks. The left and right click trackpad buttons were horrible on the Aspire One. The S10 and NC10 faired almost equally. I liked the seperate metal buttons on the S10 but a little easier to press would've been better. The NC10 has a single trackpad button that registers both left and right clicks depending on which extremity you press. It was easy to press but felt a little flimsy.

All in all, the NC10 seems to be the ok model to choose if you want the proper balance of quirks. There is nothing special or eye catching about it but it seems like a sensible purchase to one who really wants it.

The Aspire One is the netbook to choose if looks are important. The really horrible part about this netbook is the trackpad buttons but the rest seems ok.

I wish there was a netbook with the exterior looks of the Aspire One, the keyboard and layout of the NC10, the screen border and trackpad click buttons of the S10.

You seem to be misinformed. The VX800 is actually better than the VX855, which is merely a stripped down low end version of the VX800. The 855 does not have any native SATA or video support, nor does it have any PCIe lanes. The VX800 supports all three functions. So the VX800 > VX855.

U225 is the processor, VX800 is the chipset.

The Samsung NC20 uses the VX800 chipset and is available right now, so there's no need to wait for an inferior solution.

What I'm waiting for is nvidia's Ion2 + a high clocked Nano or Atom that will beat any chipset+processor currently available. That's when I'll sell my NC10SE.

Actually wht u have told looks to be arstechnica stuff...............but all other site shows the same block diagram as of 855 ...plus all mention it as new version of 800...so getting confused myself

btw when will ion 2 release

Some reports say May/June '09. The GeForce 9400M on-board should ensure decent playability in the latest games.

Anyways, if you want the VX855, get the macbook chinese clone that uses this chipset.

i want a netbook at max 27k indian price..

Just found one vital difference between the seemingly similar NC10SE and N110. The NC10 SE has a matte screen while the latter has a glossy one. If you are an apple w[h]orshipper, get the latter. If you need a screen for serious work, it's a no brainer. ;) :D

I mean... why bother with the current Gen Intel Atom and netbooks based on them ?..........

1> Intel is comming out with a 2 GHZ Atom Chip
2> As pointed out by someone - the manufacturers are planning to include Optical drives
3> SSD prices are going to CRASH .... very soon
4> ....last but no least...... the Windows 7 factor...... (I am sure its going to be a lot less resource hungry than Vista..... giving it a real chance to feature on netbooks....esp ones with 2 Ghz Atoms)
Any thoughts .... boys?
