The latest netbook on the block, the Samsung NC10 seems to have got fairly rave reviews all over the place.
Comes with the usual base Atom N270 with 1 Gig of RAM and a 160GB HDD
What supposedly makes it stand apart though is the excellent battery life (6600mAH battery) of ~7-8 hrs, great keyboard and screen + overall good build

Has anyone used this sytem as yet..I have got a quote of 25250/- net locally..
Any ideas of the street prices elsewhere?

definitely worth it imo considering the wind costs 23kish..

although new netbooks are like 3-4 months away so i dunno why ure buying one now, if u need one then its a good buy otherwise wait it out :P

although knowing u, ull probably sell this and get the whatever new one comes out in which case lemme know before creating a FS thread :P

And what to expect from the new netbooks?

I am horriblt out of touch with the scene these days

NC10 isn't worth the premium, IMHO. And at least a few batches came with the infamous screen blotch problem. Either wait for nV Ion as Chaos has mentioned, or go for one of the ASUS EeePC models available in market now. Upcoming HP Mini 2140 looks better than EeePC, though.

I bought an EeePC 1000H back in December last year and I'm quite happy with it so far. 5.5-6hrs of battery backup (6-cell) in power saver mode. Not bad at all!

id rather get a HP or even better at 30k the dell its crazy perfect 12incher and so freaking light i love it. too bad ill buy the studio 15 though.

It seems everyone from reviewers to consumers (who I'd trust more) are going gaga over the NC10 though

What is the best Netbook? Acer, Asus, Dell, Lenovo, HP, MSI or Samsung. - Page 4 - Notebook Forums and Laptop Discussion

Best Netbook Award

1st Place: Samsung NC10

There's nothing fundamentally revolutionary about the NC10. Being a netbook it is constrained by all the same restrictions as other netbooks, so its basic feature set is nothing out of the ordinary.

What makes the NC10 a winning product, then, is how it brings together all the best elements of other netbooks into one cohesive whole. It has design that compares with and surpass the MSI Wind, has the build quality that compares with and surpass the Eee PC and a keyboard to match anything else available.

That it has all this and still costs less the £300 makes it comfortably the best netbook you can buy right now.

HD Ready netbooks soon to be released. recommend to wait.

HD on a netbook

thanks, but I think I'll pass

Considering that the ion netbooks are stilll a couple of months away, and are expected to take a dip on the battery life, I decided to stick with the proven atom platform but take a sizeable quality and ergonomics upgrade with the NC10

Just got it, and the machine seems to be way better in every respect over the Asus 9xx and the Acer One series

My additional haggling requests were met with a resigned sigh and a stupid 2GB USB drive

Congratulations on your purchase.

Can we expect a review anytime soon?
