I just downloaded Stune, the only program which can access Wave's bada OS. You can change stuff in the phone's internal memory. I haven't tried it yet but soon will. Anyway ,please take care if u plan to use it as if you are not sure of what you are doing , you may brick your phone.

Follow these steps if you want to try and use at your own risk.

1. You can connect your wave to computer with either Samsung Kies or USB debugging mode.

2. Run Stune.exe from Samsung Firmwares World website (http://www.samsungfirmwareworld.com/hack-system-os-t468.html).

3. You will see "Samsung Mobile Modem V2" with usb icon in device list.

4. Double click on the device and Stune is connected with Wave now and you will see it's properties such as model #, Firmware, etc..

5. Go to "Browser" tab and double click on "Registry" and a list of registry comes up.

6. Right click on "MsgSetting.ini" and Click on "Copy" and save it somewhere such as Desktop.

7. Open the "MsgSetting.ini" with a notepad or something.

8. Change the setting as you desire and save it.

9. Go back to Stune windows and right click "MsgSetting.ini" and copy your save file from computer to Stune. Drag and drop method only works here. I think you can override it but Stune will not ask you any confirmation for that.

10. After that you disconnect your phone and reboot it. And that's it.

Max recipients for sms is 10 but you can change it in registry with stune. registry --> msgsetting.ini .

is there a chating client on wave(for bada) that supprts video call through wifi with a pc...

I think we can backup all the content like firmware, filesystem,etc.. on the wave to the PC, but i am not so sure. Will have to check it myself as soon as i get some time.

When I check my firmware on the phone it shows me as "1006031842_LIS_S8500DDFJ2_INU"
Don't know about others. Please let me know if this is different from what others are getting after updating to DDFJ2. I updated through Kies software.

@ Ankur ...In Wave you only two colors available Black and Grey... I have a black Wave....

Guys can you please let me know if your GPS on wave is working???

@ Ankur well considering the fact that u have a omnia HD already you will not get any feature benefits getting a wave. The user interface experience will be smoother on the Wave though, and as of now symbian has a greater app choice. Im quiet happy with the wave right now but it does have a few bugs in the OS which will be fixed through firmware updates hopefully.

@ datta GPS does work.. gotta download India maps from route 66.

I have downloaded maps from Route66 & have sync with phone. Right now it it saved on sd card.
But when I try to locate my position it just shows message Getting Position with 1KB download but it never shows the position. Even after clicking on GPS information all the fields(like Latitute, Longtude, Altitude etc...) dont have any values. Not sure there is prob with the GPS receiver ????

try in clear sky bro, it sometimes take 5-10min to get a lock and sometimes it gets a lock in just seconds :)
