Sandisk intros 16 GB monster Compact Flash card | TG Daily

"The new generation of flash cards is here, which, for the very first time, surpass the capacity of mini hard drives. Sandisk's new Extreme III Compact Flash cards will ship with 12 GB and 16 GB capacity in December of this year."

prices are steep: 12 GB version will be priced at $780 in the U.S. The 16 GB version will carry a suggested retail price of $1050 in the U.S

Would be a nice add on for mp3 players to add that more more storage space :hap2:

Hope Nokia, SE and Moto take a note of this. Implementing this mmc-format in mobiles is gonna prove a good comptetition to Mp3 players.

But ofcourse, I totally ignored the 1000$ price tag on the mmc alone in that one :P

1000$ is quite a lot of money... for only 16gb.....

but yaa.. not long in the future... these mmc, and other flash cards would be the in thing.. for storage.. rather then bulky hdd's and mini drives..

i m waiting for 8gb mem stick pro duo price to lower....need it for my psp.........damni wasted 4.85k for 1gb one...and presently 2gb one comes for 3.5k.......damn........it was 9k earlier........

chicku...nope.......the real ones have gone cheap...they were ard 9k.....1 year bak when i got 1 gb one...actually sony came out with 4 gb and 8 gb one.......and i guess 8 gb one cost ard 16k in usa........
