Sansa clip+ not recognized by the computer

I purchased a Clip+ from Round 1 GO for my brother.He called up today and told me that the player is working fine but not detected by the computer.Here is the exact error what he gets

The player is charging via USB,he is able to use the player without any issues :S but not able to add files on to it .

I had asked him to follow the below steps but still the issue persists

1) Change the connectivity to MSC /MTP and put in Auto Detect
2) Try changing the cable /Port.
3) Try using a different computer or a different OS all together
4) Sansa player not recognized by the computer

Please help me in resolving this issue TIA

This might seem silly but make sure the mini USB head is *completely* inserted to the player. The player will charge even if the head is partially inserted, but pc doesn't detect it.

Other suggestion would be to upgrade to wmp11 if using xp. I am using win7 and don't face any issues

Also i believe, mode should be MSC

Assuming he tried all the options suggested by you.Ask him to install windows media player version 11.I had the same problem with my fuze,but it got detected after that...

try resetting and set usb auto detect mode to msc
