N2s UI is an headache, I think if I had used it for > 2months or so it would've definitely spoiled my eyes. Audio quality is good but overall Clip+ is still a better player.
For example, Clip+ plays almost every format I've ever put in(even some VIDEO FILES!!!!!), whereas N2 gave me some problems with FLAC I had to remove all the Tags from them to make em work.
Apart from that N2 has some problems with different File Systems(gave me some problem with FAT/FAT32!!!) and it even gives some problems with class-4 Micro-SD.
N2 should be bought only if you're planning to use it with headphones rated >=80ohms, else buy a Clip+. The best thing about N2 is it's bundled IEMs, they are really good and make it a fantastic deal.
Clip+ has a slightly better build compared to N2 and has a very useful clip on it.
[quote name='freeze']I had my old 2gb clip+ rockboxed it showed that the battery was gonna last about 15 hours 15 mins.. i find that much rather convinient

so the n2 does not support gapless playback?

otherwise how is the UI in general? good enough? just the fact that the n2 sounds so much better makes me wanna go for that instead
[quote name='aman.pitbull']None of them support Gapless but Sansa's cross-fading is good enough which is absent in N2, the two things in which N2 beats Clip+ completely are EQ and battery life.
N2 is not slow at all, it's pretty quick.
No support for file tagging in N2

.
Clip+ is a better overall player. Since you've used clip+ you'll find it easier to adjust to, but remember to ROCKBOX it, as a result the battery life will be > 18hrs.
Cheers.
[quote name='freeze']Just some time back my sansa clip+ was stomped all over and is history, i need a new player and fast...
i just need to confirm a few things about this player from you
1)does it support gap-less playback of files?
2)Is the UI sluggish while navigating from file to file?
3)does it support file tagging?
I have the sound magic pl30, would you recommend this player to me? i need a decent UI, preferably with a library... i wouldn't like to have a device which responds slowly.
if you have used the sansa clip+ please give me the pros and cons of this player. i'm considering this player because its said to produce better sound quality and the battery lasts a little longer compared to the sansa clip+
Thanks
