sansa fuze + ... right choice ???

im thinking of getting a sansa fuze+ and also earphones for it ... shall i go for it ?? heard fuze+ has no rockbox and sluggish controls... is it true ?? any one has fuze+??? what earphones should i prefer ... budget is around 2.5 to 3k

ps : il also use these earphones for my motorola defy xD

I think people prefer the Clip+ to the Fuze+ and with good reason too.The sound quality is same and Clip+ offer the advantage of being easier to carry around. I am looking to buy the upcoming Clip zip model from sandisk since it has best of both clip+ and fuze and I would advice you to do the same.

I've got the fuze and the clip+ and prefer the fuze a lot more because of its great controls and screen large enough to make use of rockbox properly. Clip z certainly seems interesting but unless you are going jogging/gym etc I think fuze is a much better player in terms of usability.

^^ Not the same thing as Fuze+

Fuze+ had a sluggish UI, but I read that the latest firmware updates have fixed it.

^^ They have to a large extent but the player is still 4.5k so the OP needs to upgrade his budget or get the Clip+ instead and save money.

I have recently bought fuse+ and updated with latest firmware. UI is better now I didn't find any slug/slow.
Most important is they have enabled folder view in this firmware version.
Battery backup is better than chip+.

Buying the clip+ or clip zip and investing all the remaining money you can afford on the best possible IEM will give you the best sound quality. Fuze+ has other advantages(like better battery) and you should prioritize your needs before buying either.
