Not trying to crap you thread. Just a friendly observation.

In times when a substantially better in some cases and neck to neck in other 6950 is available around 15k mark which also has newer generation graphics capabilities, even a brand new 5870 looks a tough sell at anything above 14K. Used one, is anybody's guess :(

Buddy , I also have a 5870 and I am also planning to keep it...
Its hard to sell at that price and below that its hard for us....
so stick with the card till mid of next year...its a beast it can handle it...no probs....

just an opinion....

Exactly what I wanted to convey! There are hardly titles right now which would stretch the 5870 beyond what it is capable of and I believe it'll command close to 9-10K even 6 months down the line.

Well, the problem is, I rarely use my pc these days. So its a tough call. :s

One gem of a GPU and still no buyers . Sorry for the OT . I would have bought it , if i was a PC gamer .

Yea!! People are running for the 6870 thinking its an upgrade at much lesser price. :p A guy even offered me 3k for this. :))

2 many new models in 2 short a time which is confusing everyone.

Put a chart on this thread which shows the processing power of the Card vis a vis 6850/6870/6950 with the individual prices to prove that this card gives the maximum bang for the buck

Also the warranty of 3 years is back again for Sapphire cards which is an icing on the cake

^^Warranty is back to 3 years? This is awesome. Now I am seriously thinking about keeping the card with me. what say guys? :-?

Well , TBH . This card can easily survive for another 6 months easily or may be more like 8 -10 months for playin games on High or even ultra high settings . I would say u to keep the card but then u said that u have given up gaming for now . So its your choice ,if u need some quids wait for few more days . If it sells , well and good otherwise keep it for good .
My 2 cents .

^^ yes the fact that I wont get much time to sit in front of my PC is the only reason I decided on letting this go. But the quotes I get from people is so......

Thanks @Fenix.

I know . Want to share a personal experience . I sold my iphone 3gs in TE . There was this guy who used to ping me everyday and he used to reduce 500 bucks daily . He started of with 20k and then went down to 12k for an Iphone 3gs 16gb . Thats not all but there were others too . I know there might be guys pinging u to sell the card for 9k or 10k .

LoL!! The worst part is, they haggle for the price like they wont live without it. And then when its settled, they backout without having the slightest courtesy to inform. Selling stuff online can be tough at times :P
