As all SATA ports on my MB (Asus P5k-VM) are filled up, i want to purchase PCI express (4x) SATA controller to accommodate new HDD's. Please suggest a pci express addon card that is available at Lamington Road. No RAID support needed, but if i can get one for less price please do mention them.
 
Recently I installed for a friend an IOGEAR 2 port SATA controller - paid Prime 3200/- for it. Very good quality and rock solid performance. It is running a 1TB and a 250GB HDD. This is a PCIE 1x card.
 
Mediahome has a card in the dealers section. PCIE and it has 2 SATA ports as well as 2 Esata ports for Rs 1050 (only two total ports working at one time tho)

Ive seen PCI card with 2 SATA ports available for 400 bucks locally.

Note the difference, PCI has a max bandwidth of 66 MB/s so if its just a storage drive it would do. PCIE 1X has a bandwidth of 500 MB/s so would support full transfer speeds
