Weird....
After I installed a new Seagate SATA 80Gigger :@ (why-oh-why), my desktop refuse to wake up from Standby... :(

The bootup (and the OS load) happens through the primary PATA master

I am using an Asus a8V Deluxe Mobo (Winnie 3200) and the drive is hooked to the Mobo though the VIA SATA controller Ch1
(The MoBo also has 2 additional SATA connectors for RAID config which uses a Promise chipset SATA controller but that is as yet unused....

I feel like tearing my hair out coz I usually never shut down my dekstop, and since it is used only in the mornings/late nights, i let it go off to sleep after like 1 hr of inactivity
And after this stupid SATA disk, every time it goes to sleep, i need to hard reset the machine to revive it

Bump...Help..this is driving me crazy....

It's not really standby that is causing this.....

Last night, i changed the standby time to never and set hibernate time as 2 hours (As a workaround till i find a fix)

Approx 10 mins of non-usage later , the system was down again....Guess what the "Turn off drives" time was...You guessed it...10 minutes :(
